Thanks for the links!!! Good to see in print that Glidden "wouldn't mind helping out", I've heard the same rumor thru a couple other sources... Hope they get the testing time they need, and Larry gets the engine working...
Going to be really kewl having the old Ford vs Chevy thing going on in Pro Stock again!!! I really think they have the right man (Morgan) doing the engine work--and he sure isn't no slouch as a driver!!! Kind of think with some test and tune time Erica might be able to get that Ford going, too!!
Again, thanks for the link, appreciate it!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Yes! It will be great to have a Ford back in competition! And glad to see'um with four cars and not just a lone entry! I was at Bob Glidden's last win in NJ. Got a pic of me and him and he signed my hat. Was a great day for me to be able to shake his hand. Was always proud to be a supporter of Bob's. But, I don't know if he'd be able to keep up with the young guys now.. Look at how WJ struggles to compete. It's all about reaction times with the cars being so close. IMHO anyway..

Just having Bob Glidden available to help out with the cars has got to be a lot of help!!!! But I would betcha he makes a pass or two during the testing stages of the new Ford effort!!!! Going to be a very interesting season if Morgan can get the Fords' running strong at least by mid-season....at least it won't be Anderson vs. Jeg for the only interesting runs!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Just having his expertise to fall back on when questions come up would be great.... As intense as Bob is, can't really imagine him not being more involved.....even if it is strictly a behind the scenes thing....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Yeah, I agree. I think for the most part all the motors have been studied to death. They always buy a competitiors engine and tear it down, study every inch of it and take all the best technology and put it into their package. Heck, that's what we were doing twenty years ago!
So after all this time, what's left to squeeze more power out? Personally, I just love the idea that these guys are so driven to seek out just a couple more ponies and get another tenth!
I am also surprised that this crowd hasn't chimed in on this thread!

I read an article last summer with some quotes from Morgan about the new Ford head, not much more then the quotes in the article that you linked to, but in that one he did hint that they had found some things in the heads that was going to change what they could do with the cam.... but he was all giggly about "maybe another 5 to 7 horsepower" wish in Pro Stock land might mean a few hundreths of a second....
I'm really looking forward to hearing some of the test results.....and not have to wait till Pheonix testing to see what he's running.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I for one, am thrilled to death to have Ford back into the fold and hopefully that means Glidden as well. Now if they would do away with the clutchless Lenco's we might see so really competitive racing.Ken Thomas

First - I agree with you on Ford being back in Pro Stock! Glidden to me is a lot like Mark Martin being a sentimental favorite. Been around the block a few times and we'd love to see that continue.
Second - I'll have to disagree on the transmission choice. To me, that's like saying they should go back to using 4 speeds also. Why have the most technology driven engines hitched to ancient gearboxs? I don't feel it belongs in the pro series. That should stay in Super Stock and the like.
My 2 cents anyway! Thanks for posting!
