I sure do love the sound of the old cars, lots of races won by who was the best on the stick!!! Those who say you can't be consistent with a manual trans were never around to watch some of these cars.... Good SuperStocker and Gasser drivers ran within a hundreth or two of their qualifying time all day long.... And man, those little motors staying up in the revs all the way through the 1/4!!!! Even in the late 60's the B/SS Mopar I drove had to be within .020 of index to evern be competitive, and you'd better be on index to be a winner...all day long....

We have had a lot of fun running our 55 Chevy Gasser. But we want to get a FED as well. Why not do both? I say get it and don't look back. We have an association out here called A.N.R.A. They have nostalgia classes including Eliminator I, II, and III. Three is a 9.6 index which you could do in that rail easily with a small block. Less expense, and not so fast for Grandpa's. If you don't want it, can you hook me up?

Hey Dave, Completed a handshake deal last weekend to sell my Jim Davis FED to a father/son team from Souix Falls, as soon as the boy gets back from Kuait. Someone else who wants to have fun.
Haven't been on the site for a while (health issues). I see your thinking about coming over to the dark side? Old school is the only way to do it.

I love the shot for Car Craft mag cover, with the cab of the mustang flipped up, open. I've only seen cars where either the engine canopy flipped up, or the whole body, never the cab and rear only. Pretty cool! And I like his choice in cars!

That is pretty cool but he should have made it a legal cage. Then he could have played with it at the track too.
