Ok. Sorry to keep you all waiting. Surprised nobody got it. Geezer was closest while I think a toss up between Mike52 and Steves32 for creativity!

Broke the rear-end, GM 12-bolt with Eaton clutch style posi. Haven't taken the cover off yet but pinion is probably missing some teeth and/or broken spiders.

Starting line breakage is almost always driveline related... Driveshaft, u-joints, rear, axles. Motors usually blow on the big end. Auto trans usually lose 2nd gear first later on or sometimes leave you stranded on the starting line.

A violent wheelstanding launch could put you in the wall that soon but this car doesn't have that kind of power.

I chose not to scramble to get her fixed this week because my standing in the fall points is pathetic and my chances of podium finish are very slim. Tough call because I really enjoy this season ending weekend. But I'll take my time to get good parts and fix it up right.

Will change to a spool and plan to change from 4.56:1 to 4.33:1 for some more top end. With the 456 shift light comes on before 1000' which is barely okay on the mountain but won't swing it if I ever run closer to sea level.

    Thanks for playing!

    -Chris

After breaking out of the hole pulling over and shutting down it was nice consolation to look up at the scoreboard and see that .000... "at least I get a pin"
