Austin Coil deserves a lot more praise. John is a good driver... and very entertaining the first few dozen times you see him... but having a competitive car is more important!!! Without that, the drivers skill is moot!

Austin has kept him competitive for decades... even though he isn't as amusing.

    Congrats Austin!

John was quick to give credit to his team, including Austin. He especially gave credit to Mike Neff for turning the team around and lighting a fire under them. With a brain trust like they have, that can actually work together, shows what a leader John is, and not just on the track.

And how about the Al Anabi team? Alan Johnson has proven again that he is the force in Top Fuel. Congrats to Larry Dixon, Alan, the Sheikh and the whole team.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

It will be interesting to see if Neff can keep the team going now that Coil is gone. I wish them the best.
