New To This Chat Room-? on Hydro 200 4R
Just joined this chat room looking for advise. I am building a custom rod, 52 chev sp. coupe on a Caprice chassis. I have a Hydraflow 200 4r tranney available to use but how solid are they and how can I tie in the lock up for the converter. I found one lock up kit that uses the speedo cable and you can set the speed (around $160).There is also a "shift kit " available for $27.
1. Will the 200 4r hold up to roddin and ocassional track use?
2. Is there a better way to tie in the lock up?
3. is the 200 4r a three speed with the fourth being the lockup?
any suggestion would be appreciated. LEE

200's are very light duty trannys, they do not take much abuse. Should find a 700R if you want overdrive, or the very durable 400 turbo hydroYesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
