Neat video, Steve, hadn't seen that one before. Lots of old action in there. I liked the bike EJ Potter was driving, Chevy V8, no clutch, knock it off the kickstand and go! Wonder how he got the nickname the Michigan Madman?
Hee is one more of him.

Thanks, Brad, but knowing how you fly around, I won't be surprised to see you sitting on my tire like Turkey Run.
This rain is supposed to blow out of here today and start clearing in time for the weekend. I sure hope so. We had rains like I haven't seen since the last hurricane, buckets were coming down. It lasted all day all week and I was ready to start building that ark.

Today the Billetproof Drags were held in Lakeland and my Son Don, his GF Taylor, and I towed my 27 up there to have some fun. The weather was beautiful, and the place was crowded with some really neat old cars, more than I have ever seen at this event before.
I managed to get in 6 runs and the car ran great. I planned on making a few easy runs to check out the track, but that plan went out the window when I pulled up to the starting line. Just like I figured, 1st gear was smoke city, and I even smoked the tires all the way through 2nd most runs. My best time was 7.90 @92 mph, but it felt like 292 mph. If I had good slicks and had powershifted I know the car was capable of more, but my goal today was to keep the shiny side up and not break anything..............so I met both goals and am alive tonight to tell about it.
I had my camera on the wrong size, so here is a grainy YouTube. Don used his camera too, so maybe when he gets home I will have one that is more clear.

Thanks guys. Yesterday was the most fun I have had in a long time and I am just happy I made it out alive and with no car damage.
I've been going over my timeslips and trying to analyze the reaction times and 60 foot times. The car was spinning too much to launch well, but here are some of the results. What does some of this mean:
Reaction time......... .397 ............60 ft..............2.16
RT........................ .047.............60 ft.............2.161
RT........................ .321............ 60 ft.............2.049
RT........................ .063 ............60 ft............1.769 (best run, 7.90 et/92 mph

You had two good lights, two lights that you slept through!!!! Too much spin to get a decent 60' time....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I tried leaving when the last yellow lit up, but sometimes the car wouldn't move because of the tires. I considered trying second gear starts but the last thing I wanted to do was blow the transmisson.
A member on another forum posted a video from his car, and it was cool to see my roadster from this perspective. I've never seen it going down the road.
