Somewhere I have a photo that shows it on the chute pack with air under all four tires-----It actually broke one side rear body mount tab---tied body down with some barb wire I cut off the pit boundary fence, changed the gear ratio in the quick change and proceded to run our best time to date---was first outing with a transmission, clutch didn't have enough slippage for gear ratios-----John was so pissed he went to the stands---came back after the low et run and got involved--was in our early days racing funny car--lots of differances from top fuel----
We also added zoomie headers after this race---seems we blew down the center boards at the starting line with these weed burner type pipes and they had to remove the center line signage so we could runLast edited by jerry clayton; 12-19-2012 at 10:15 AM.

My pal Rick used to have an Anglia---the typical build for the 80's with lots of setback and long ladder bars. It was very unpredictable on launch to say the least!!! Rick always told people it left straight and hard!!!!----straight up and hard left!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
