It was a brilliant day..Got a little warm at times, but the racing was good..The tourists put on a good show,, and was good to see some Kiwi/US side by side racing, against our own Kiwi freight train.. The Nitro Flashback funny popped the blower, late afternoon, and even took a piece of the roof out of the body,I heard..

Thanks for the link, Robin! Definitely a great bunch of cars on display and racing!!! The facility itself looks to be really first rate, too! I'd say Drag Racing is definitely alive and well in NZ!!!!!

Robin - Looks like you had a great day - almost as much fun as me sitting on my tractor/snow blower

That was a great array of nice cars and hot rod people! Glad you had a good time at it!

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

The facility is a dual purpose job..Circuit racing track is in there as well,Dave..The only issue some of the street classes have,is they seem to be losing up to half a second on that track, quite probably because of the altitude, and maybe also the fact that it was a little humid at the time, but everyone had a ball( I think) I know your countrymen did.. with threequarter track burnouts, and smoky runs from beginning to end, while giving two fingers up in the air.. Krazy dude..
There is a bit of BS down here at the moment,as we have got two factions fighting,,NZDRA,and someone has invited IHRA in as well, and there is a bit of B floating..Stuff the politics..
