We're headed to the "Big Go East" in about a week. Another forum I'm on has been getting together at midwest race tracks once a summer for the last 8 yrs. This year we're going to Bud's Creek for a change (dubbed The Big Go East by us). We're going early so we can stop off at Gettysburg, then we're stopping by the Smithsonian and Arlington & a few other tourist type places. Then for the weekend we're heading to the track for the 5th Annual Legends at Budds Creek – Sept. 13-14/and our 9th Annual DragList Nats."PLAN" your life like you will live to 120.
"LIVE" your life like you could die tomorrow.

I miss the Indy race!!! I grew up 90 miles from there, and went every year from '62 to '74, when I moved to the Southwest.
Those were great times, and you have to appreciate that Indy is STILL thought of as the biggest and most exciting event of all!
I have even noticed that more pros seem to show up for this than any other events.
I see my boy Del went #1 in the first session. :-)

I was at the starting line standing about 20 feet from Garlits when he shaved the beard! ...but I don't think he will remember me. {:-)
I had a photographer trying to push past me. I later saw a picture... I think in Car Craft ...of him shaving, and the back of my head to one side of the picture. LOL!
