    These are the pieces....

Thank goodness this season is over, I was getting tired of postin pics of the stuff I broke this year. This is the end. I shrunk the pics enough so that you can still make them out.

The remaining pistons on the left bank. Not bad for the punishment I gave them.

This is the number 7 cylinder. It done cracked at the bottom of the bore.

The rod is a tad shorter than when it was installed. It was originally 5.7" long.

This is the exit point on the drivers side of the oil pan.

Thanks, I know it will. I had my chassis guy here yesterday to make sure I will be safe for next year. All I need is a new roll cage and some rear frame work so I can put on some wheelie bars. I'm changing from a 16" wide tire, to a 10.5" wide, ooops, I almost forgot, I'm stuffin the engine compartment with about 613 cubic inches of BIG BLOCK CHEVROLET!

Nah, JB weld. "Good to 1200 psi!" Either that, or make it a very short stroke engine. 200 CI, 12000 rpm motor!

Hey Pro, if you and Pro Z put your parts together, Meag could have a start on her red maro. Streets got nothin' goin on, he could put it together for her.

Besides...from what I read on the Ebay thread, Street's is gonna give Meag the 67 he found in his lane and then she's gonna marry him...Happily ever after!

Now Pro60, I'm just wonderin' if you go to a 10.5 wide tire...an you put all that weight up front in the engine compartment...what's left in the back to keep your rear down???

That's when the wheelstand comes in handy, to transfer all that weight to the rear tires.

We got the old motor out Sunday so it could be inspected, and maybe find out exactly what happened. It looks like lack of oil pressure was the culprit by the looks of the number 7 rod bearing. The crank journal looks like it got a bit hot, I'm supprised it didn't ignite the oil!

Number 7 connecting rod. The blob in the middle is what's left of the bearing.

The poor crankshaft didn't stand a chance.

A closer look at the bad journal. If you look hard enough, you can see the inprint "ARP" from the rod nut hitting on it's way by.

    The escape route.

This is what your block looks like on CRACK! If I take a hammer and give it a little tap, I bet I could remove about 1/3rd of that side.
