    spacer plates

     



    what does everyone think about spacers -- more torque less power - whats your opinion

    I assume your talkin' wheel spacers??? I don't think there would be any performance gain / loss. Just a safety concern if you go too big. (deep).

    Had a 1984 chev 3/4 ton van,Put a 400 small block in it,performer manifold and carb,headers, cam and recurved HEI dist. tried with and without a 1" spacer plate,I don't have any numbers to compare but seat of the pants driving was better with the spacer.

    Because with an open spacer, the gasses mix from one side to the other as in an open plenium. (even though below that you have two separate planes.) Basically it runs the whole dual plane design idea.

    Yupper' I got that one covered alright . HEHE I even noticed it was in the ''Engine Talk'' forum and it still didn't register. Guess since I'm workin' on the opposite end of the car I had "Tunnel Vision" . No pun intended.
