    BBC Identification HELP

I picked up a Big Block yesterday. Im just trying to figure out a little more about it. The block has the words "HI PERF" cast on the left side of the block. The numbers are: 10069286. I was told this came out of an 89' short bed 454 SS truck, but you know how that goes. Im just wondering about its origins and possibly stock horse power number if anybody has any ideas. thanks.

10069286= 90-91 454 Mark IV short deck truck.. It will have small port heads and an iron crank. Flat pistons. hyd cam.

I would get a set of early oval port heads, a set of K-B short dome pistons. a good rumpity hyd cam. single four bbl intake, headers, unilite ignition. Then go out and "terrorize the natives".

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
