carb difference
Since a two barrel carb and a four barrel carb can be bought in either 500 or 600 cfm what is actually the difference besides the abovious of having two more "barrels" and more jets. Wouldn't the 2 barrel supply the same amount of air and fuel as the four barrel at WOT if the 2 barrel had larger jets?
Also why is a single 4 barrel of say750CFM, better than 3 deuces that have 3 rochester carbs supplying 250CFM and at WOT they both are supplying the same amount of air. You can argue that the jets are different but you can also change to larger jets on the 2 barrel to compensate for the difference.Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

Two barrel carbs are flow rated at a different pressure drop than 4-bbl carbs. Holley used to do it on the 500 two bbl. Check the fine print.
