ECM will hafta be reprogrammed, don't know who can do it,or will do it, as they set the speed governor to correspond to the speed rating for the tires , and changin it would put a big legal liability on who ever does.

you will have to for give dennyw juggalette9116, just because we sit around the house all day doing nothing, we thinks everybody else does to.
the answer to you ? is like everybody said, its programed into your computer and finding someone to change it may be hard to do. danny is a good guy though.Mike

Re: Govener removal
In California we impeach 'em
Sorry just could not resist. But I do agree with the others, your PCM will need to be reprogrammed. There are tools on the market that will do it. You may find an auto repair shop that will do it, but they may be reluctant due to liability.
good luck and welcome to CHR
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

The computer has to be reprogrammed to remove the governor. The chips increase hp and acceleration but do nothing for top speed. Should be able to get a handheld device to reprogram, but it will be expensive.
Then again I could be wrong.
Welcome to CHRIt ain't broke if you can fix it.
