Hi I have a few questions that I would at least like to be pointed in the right direction in. I was handed a 78 Linc continental with the 460 bb emission version. Ive done some work to the engine and its got enough go to get my 7000lb linc to 60 in under 8 seconds but its not enough. Ive built a lot of 351w race engines one 377sw and one 408sw. That is about all of the v8 experience I have the rest is on rotaries lol. Is there any little quick things I should know about the 460 429 and 400 head interchangeability. I gather by reading other posts that the dove-c heads are the pair to have? I dont have them on my car but as it is it pings on anything less than 91 so wtf's going on. I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks

I understand why the engine pings, just throw some octane to it and its fine, unless im running it too lean... either way thanks for the response
