Pontiac 350 in a 81 T/A
Hello all once again. I once again have another question, this one pertaining to the engine i plan to put into my 81 T/A. Im not to familiar with engines and the like but im doing some studying and im just wondering if a Pontiac 350 would bolt up in my 81 T/A. Yes i know the 350 isnt one of the best engines around but i plan to have my car as a show car and a racer every once in awhile. Thanks ahead of time.

I dont see anything wrong with the 350, ive just heard some things on other sites, but i still plan to get it. The T/A i have is a Turbo which came out with a 301 Turbo. The 305 came with manual T/A's, mines an automatic on the floor.

I would go with a 400 but my budget isnt very large so i'll have to go with anything i can get, 350 being that. Im just looking to put a motor in my car that has power but not to much power and not to slow, something i can take to car shows and show off mostly.

Mines a 301 Turbo with T-Tops. And yes i did state that i would do some racing with it, but only minor racing against Hondas, i dislike Honda's extremely. Thanks for the info on the 350.

hmmmm, I think alot of people with the 301's replace them with 350's...just based on what i've seen when I was looking for a T/A...Good luck with your transformation...got any pics? You miss 100% of the shots you never take

If you are going for a show car, then go with a 400 and shop around for a Tri-power for it, would show very nice. Is the '81 Turbo the one with the funny little bump on one side of the hood???Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
