Just an update. This was a pain. Had to remove motor mounts(1 upper and 2 lower). Lift engine with jack. Hold rear frame up on stands. Remove pass. tire, tie rod, lower ball joint, serp belt, ac comp, starter, and a lot of plastic. Six oil pan to main bolts. And so on. Remove 4 bolts on frame and lower frame as low as possible. Then you can remove the pan thru the passenger side. Takes a whole 10 minutes to install new pump and a day and a half to get to it and put it back together.
The car runs great now. Even the one lifter that has always tapped doesn't anymore.
Hope I don't have to do that again for a while.
