    will 390 fit fox body

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if a 68 390 would mount in a 1980 fox body t-bird.

that FE engine is narrower than the 429s they put in them all the time. but u will have to find some mounting brackets as that aint a stock setup for fox chassis. seems like about 10 yrs ago someone was making engine mounts but i sure cant remember who. Ives rdhotfrd

I believe it's possible. Have fun getting that front sump (what was Ford thinking) oil pan around the crossmember. Milodon or somebody probably sells a rear sump or dual sump conversion for the block.

    Cool Thanks for the help

I appreciate the help guys. I have found a 460 that I am going to throw into the t-bird instead. Similar conversion kit more power I hope.

390 will probably build more power than the 460, specially if the 460 is made after '72
