    Another ID please

First post here. Tried to put it in the FE group, oops.

I just sold my 66 Fairlane Gt project car and am cleaning out the rest of the parts that originally came with it. I have a block with the following numbers

    C7ME-A
    date code : 7M30 Is this Dec 30 67 ?
stanmped in the upper corner: 8Z548583

Based on the Engine Parts Interchange book I have it says it is a 428 Cobra Jet. But I can't find any 428 markings inside the water jacket or freeze plugs. I also can't find the welded A or C that I have seen people on the net talking about.

Can I figure out what car this was origanally based on the 8Znumber? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    joe

Welcome to CHR, Joe. How much do you want for the block, and what else do you have left? There's a few of us Blue Oval guys around here, G should be along later to help with the block id issues.

Looks like it is a 390. Cool thanks for the replys guys. I am not looking to sell, I think a few years down the road it will go into one of those Cobra kit cars since I don't have the cash for a real one.
