Zz4 ?
Hey Guys,
I'm looking to buy a small block Chevy for my '32 sedan. I'm a little concerned about the compression ratio on the ZZ4 (~10:1). Is there anyone out there running one of these, and if so, are you having any problem with pre-ignition on pump gas? I've read that you can run about a point higher in compression with aluminum heads. With the price of gas expected to go to $2.50 a gallon this summer, I really don't want to buy 92 octane all of the time. I like the 350/330hp Chevy crate motor but it has vortec heads and I would like to run 3-deuces...
