    fuel pressure

     



    can you please help me
    1989 ford 150, 4.9 EFI new pump in the tank, new high pressure pump,new fuel filter, and fuel pressure reg. truck has good fuel pressure 50lbs, truck runs for 10 min. stalls.....pressure dopes just before it stalls, recheck feul pressure 8lbs wait 20 min truck restarts for 10 min or so. whats going on the pump in the tank getting hot????????????????????????

    please can you lead me in the right direction

    you know almost sounds like old fashioned vapor lock.
    i thinks pump getting hot and kicking out , i dont know how the 98 fords run their pumps but i know that some fords have had in tamk pump trouble to the point that the pump has fried itself inside the tank.
    does it make any difference if the tank is full or not.??
