    Stupid question...really stupid

But it is something i just thought of.
Which oil filter is the best for a pretty stout BBC.
Long or short?....i already have the adapter w/bi-pass....but running a Fram seems like the cheapo way to go..
    maybe K&N?....
let me know what you guys are running....i already have my RedLine 50w (Southwest texas summers see 120 degrees)

I use nothing but K&N on ALL my cars. Performance or not. What's the difference in cost over a year? $30.00? I use the large filter on my Chevys.

Unless you are worried about looks........go with largest filter you can fit....I even go remote on some of my cars......protection.......bigger usually is better. All in my humble opinion

I hope for your sake that their oil filters do a better job than their air filters... if you run a K&N air filter, try this. Put a very thin smear of vaseline or white lithium grease in the air cleaner housing, on the engine side of the filter. Drive it around until you do your next oil change, then take a look at how much dirt has collected. It will amaze, then scare you. I will never again put anything but a high quality paper filter on any of my vehicles.

we're not here for a long time, but I'm here for a good time!
