Chevy 194 Inline six
Found a replacement engine 194 for my 66 Chevy II, but it has a rear sump oil pan vs my current engine which has a front oil sump pan. I know I'll have to transfer the oil pan from my old engine to the new one, but is there a way to transfer the oil dipstick tube to the front of the engine? The new engine has dipstick located toward the rear, hence rear oil pan. Any help would be appreciated. Other than that, it should be a simple swap.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

if i understand you right, then get an after market tube thats longer, say from a van . that way you can mount it in back and still have the end infrontWRENCHD

OilPan will clear
Actually with a little hammering your oil pan will clear your draglink(centerlink) on your First gen nova. I have a 1974 250 from a Nova in my 65 Chevy II. All I had to do was dimple the pan above the oil drainplug and it cleared just fine. i was going to swap everything around like you until Twisted 6 gave me a hint of what to do.
Simple but it works.
