    Question 1970 351 w

     



    Would swapping heads with later model (1986) improve performance any? It's been reccomended to me.

    If your talking about a 86 stock type head from ford, no this won't help performance. You would lose compression and HP. The 1969 - 70 heads had the bigger valves and closed chambers
    for more compression thus more HP. Unless your going with a after market head like edelbrook,keep what you have right now.
