oil pressure was strong. from fireing thew engine all the way threw the 20 min @ 2500rpm. so lots of oil splashing at the cam.
I put 4 quarts of oil in the engine. the shop said it was ready to go. yet the engine only had 1 quart of oil in it.
Oil pressure was strong all the time till in siezed and rolled to the side of the road.
there was bad blowby. smoke comeing from the valve cover vent.
They do mean 30minutes to prime the engine before firing.
lots of valve terrain noise right after fireing. (lose rocker arms it sounded like)
The next engine will be built by me. But I had to borrow money for this motor. That lasted 62km. So I have to pay back the money before I can build another engine.had a rebuilt 355SB chevy
it lasted 42,000km
Got another rebuilt 355SB
it lasted 62km.
I still have not had a powerful engine.
slowly building a quicker truck

Okay. shop built motor and installed it but did not break the cam in ?sounds shady!
Your last post said untill u rolled to the side of the road ?This is not how u broke the cam in ,driving?not good.
Loud noise from valve cover ,warrants pronto shut down of motor and inspection.
Driving the car right after break in ,U were driving under 55mph and varying the speed and rpms ?
Lastly u shurely wouldnt stomp the throttle on a new motor with the engine still cold ,with the break in oil and filter not being changed?
No 1 drain oil into a container and send it to a engine oil analysis lab to determine exactly whats in the oil, just bearings or blasting media,No 2 sounds like u need to let the engine builder have the car and let the auto shop build install and break in ,also test drive the new engine and call u when complete so u can go get it and drive away happy.or like U said build it yourself and have no confusion over where the mistake was made.or!! u just mIGHT HAVE MURPHYS LAW GOIN?good luck. Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)
