horsepower and torque???
so people.. what is the true definition of horsepower and torque.. ive been wondering this for a while and im not really shure what they both do... can anyone help me out????

They are dependent on each other.
Torque = (Horsepower x RPM) / 5252

i had a simple expaination once, horspower is the speed at the end of the quarter mile and torque is the time at the end. dont know if its true but it sounded goodSeth

The common explanation in Germany is: Horsepower wins in the Pub - Torque wins on the street.Frank

HP is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how big of a hole you put in the wall when you hit !!!
