need help asap please!!!!!!!!!
im in the garage right now tryin to get my sbc runnin. unsure of the exact year, but I do have this number...397001?0.
Could someone please help me? Need to know what year, timming, etc. Standing by, thanks in advance!

From what I can find it's somewhere around 69 to bout 80

think i have the firing order ok but when its in gear it backfires out of the drivers side dual, and dies out. any help appreciated. QUOTE]

check your firing order, might have a couple plug wires crossed. Check the cap and rotor to make sure they aren't cracked and crossfiring between cylinders.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
