Accel metal braided spark plug wires part #8011b

Does anyone know if you can use these Accel metal braided spark plug wires part #8011b w/ a MSD 6al ignition box? In the instructions that came w/ the wires from Accel it states..."for street use only" as "ultra powerful racing ignitions may cause a conductive effective resulting in arcing to the metal shield. Does a MSD 6al classify itself as a ultra powerful racing ignition?

if its putting out more than 30,000 volts then yes....... i'm not sure on the voltage rating on them... they might be a 40,000... those metal braided plug wires aren't really a good idea, they look nice.... but they tend to heat up and melt the innards if you're not careful

    wires

Don't do it, I had really bad luck with these wires . They work good for only a short time . The metal sleeves arc out and cause misfires. Do yourself a favor and get a set of 8.8 accel or moroso blue max wires

I found out you can't use them because of the core material too. I returned them to Summit and got a set of Universal MSD 8.5 super conductors. Theym are fatter than I thought they would be.

any kind of ignition, or voltage may resulting in arcing with those wires. they work good if you need a light under the hood to work by.

Good thought, Mike. Maybe just a small leak off the fuel regulator hanging on the fenderwell or something??? Yup, add me to the list of folks (fools?) who wasted money on them flippin' wires!!!

yup, just like a lotta ford guys dont realize they should put an elbow on there fuel filter off the carb, cause the fuel filter ussually sits only inches from the coil and distributor
