Ford 352 question
i tecently began restoring my 1965 ford thunderbird. upon tuning up the engine i discovered that it was not the original 390 but a 352. does any know what cars/trucks were made with a 352? or what the engine id 352 66 6 6c 289 s might belong to?

How did you find out it's a 352 and not a 390? As chappy pointed out the "352" on the front left of the block is just and identifier and common to lots of FE blocks. Also tell me the location of the other numbers you listed. Some look like the date code (6C28) possibly depending on the location. If you confirmed the 352 by the 4.00 cyl bore and 3.50 crank stroke then yes you are correct. Almost every engine part will have a casting number to help ID the application. The engine block casting number might be a problem being some were generic and used on different bore FE and FT blocks. But easy to ID by bore and wall thickness measurements. G.
Thank you Roger. .
