Magnacharger makes a direct bolt on supercharger for the LSx motors. Believe it or not, with it you do not need to replace your pistons with lower compression ones. Computer controls are amazing. It comes in various levels of performance, some are even emmsions legal. Check them out at www.magnacharger.com. Also surf on over to www.ls1tech.com and do some reading on the message boards there. The new tech motors are a whole new world. Here's another link to article about one bolted to a stock motor.

Here's a pic of a modified LSx motor with a magnacharger
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

looks like the viper motor is cheaper than it used to be.... and definately the LS series motors are a nice way to go.... theres a lot of direct bolt on you can do the will increase power quite incredibly.... and its amazing how the computer management systems can compensate for adding a supercharger and keep you from blowing your motor.... going turbo would be kind of interesting though.... it is a little harder on the motor.... but that'd be pretty damn unique, especially if you had the blowoffs and everything.... but then you have to add room for an intercooler and suchjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day

Wow, that engine looks awesome. Looks like I have a lot more reading to do as well.
If anyone has any more links to interesting reading it would be great. It's always good to read actual experiences instead of listening to sales pitches!

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
