Dutch and prepairing for a 390-->410 rebuild
well...
there I am, other side of the ocean...looking for parts to rebuild and spice up my '66 t-bird!
as it is right now, the stock 390 will be pulled out and layed out bare...
several manuals and books, wich help me through some of the things i need to know, (like, knowing what your abilities are and especially, are not!)... I know I can pull it apart and get it back together again...finding the right interchangeable parts wich also fit with not too much trouble, that's my lack of knowledge right there!
so with the help of the ford off-highway-parts manual, I selected some already rebuild 428 cj heads...and I like to use a 428 crank...(wich I am asking for in another post here)...
what I need to know is...
the rods...can I stick with the stock connecting rods, just use some better bolts on them, or should i go for new or rebuild ones? and if so...what?stock ford 428? or special brand? has anybody any idea what the compressionratio will be after this change? (stroke is .20" longer than stock, after this crankchange)
probably will run into other questions later...
greetz peepz!

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
