truck turns over but no fire
Help! have rebuild this engine from the ground up twice and replaced nearly every part. Its a 56 ford f150 with a 70 351 Cleveland engine. Does this thing need a resistor block?

56 with no fire
new points, new distributor, new timing chain, plugs, carborator, starter, everything has been lined up and it cranks over, just won't start. Where would the resistor block be located. I look all around the fire wall, but I couldn't even seen where one might have been. It is not an electronic inginition. Everything is original except the engine. I appreciate all the help.

It'll start without a resistor. Run a wire from the battery to the coil, to the post that doesn't go to the distributor. If it runs like that, your problem is in the wiring. If it still won't go, the problem is in the ignition system.
