Dual four barrel for 350 ci engine

Hello Friends: Here is my problem. I have a very nice Nova with a 350 ci engine, 350 TH auto, ps/pb/air. I have installed a moderate Crane cam and a Edlebrock dual four barrel intake with two Edlebrock 1405 (650 cfm) carbs with progressive linkage. I have difficulty with the engine idle and have difficulty with gas fouling the plugs at rpm. It seems to be dumping way too much fuel and I have leaned them out as much as I can (being I am not a carb guru). I really installed this set-up for the killer looks and not for performance. I had recently pulled the set-up and re-installed the Corvette dual plane and 790 cfm Q-jet, new plugs (again) and everything runs great, but the engine bay looks like the other kazillion chevy 350 out there.

Question: How do you tune the dual 4-barrel set-up for good drivability ? Is it possible ? If not, then this set-up is for sale. Thanks for your input.

First of all you've got to much carburetion for that engine. One 650 is fine but when the other cuts in your talking 1300 CFM which is why your plugs are wet. If you want the dual 4 barrels go with maybe 2, 500 cfm carbs or even the small 395 Holly's.
Keep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!

Thanks for your reply. I have considered two new Edlebrock 500 cfm carbs and I also considered the small Holleys. I think the 500 cfi Edlebrocks would do fine. I just want to decide if the cost is worth the look.
