    Carb issues - (I think??)

Engine warms up and runs good. two or three stop lights and it is still Idling in drive good. turn a sharp corner and then something happens- at very low rpm (1000 - 1500) feels like a 4cyl. and then the very next stop light the egine stalls. Let the electric fuel pump run a few seconds before cutting the truck back on....crank it up and everything is fine. Also there is a constant skip but only between 4000 and 5000 rpms. Could this be related? Seems like I remember hearing something like this but cant remember the diagnosis. Any advice would be appreciated.

    thanks in advance.

PS: Carb is a Holley 600, engine is producing no more than around 300hp.

What kind of vehicle are we talking about? Sounds like a restriction in the fuel system, like maybe in the tank.

the engine is a 350 (just built) and is in a S10 pickup. I getting to take it out now and will determine if it happens when turning in both directions. The carb is brand new - could it still be the float???

Im starting to think that its probably still just a vac leak. I just bumped timing from 8 to 12 and at first it seemed worse at idle (lots more responsive when driving though). but then the last five minutes or so every time I stopped (still in gear) it seem to be strong and with no hint of a problem.

thnks for all the help, any other possibilities please let me know.
