283's are great motors. i bored mine .30 over [i think that comes out to 302ci correct me if im wrong] i put on 461 double hump heads off of a old '65 327 that i have. and a comp cam. with an old style edelbrock torquer intake and a 600cfm holley 4160 and all of this is i my 1973 porsche 914. this thing moves and that motor sounds great and winds up real tight. it was the first motor i built and was a great learning experience everyone should start with a chevy! now i have a ford that im working on and i realize why so many people build chevy's because parts are cheap! anyway congrats ScooterHonda Motor= 1.6L

thanks ill need it lol but if i do get it it can be payed off in a year heck this is one way to build up my credit aint it? i mean i really dont know any other way then to buy something big and pay it off lol. anyways he said it runs and drives tranny goes into all gears clutch works but no tail-lights wouldnt make the po-lice happy i mean it does need some stuff but the stuff it does need is plentiful cheap and being re-pro'd so i am not very worried i could have that bad boy driving by thanksgiving!. i was almost thinking of just rebuilding the 6'er for gas lol i mean it cant be that damn bad anyways ill stop my rambling. im on the verge of 2 big things a new job 40+ hours FINALLY! and this car growing up= pain in behind besides iw ould rather see this thing go to someone like me whow ants to fix it upa nd drive it then see it go to a junkyard

Hey Scooter, isn't a Biscayne the same body style as an Impala??? If it is, you could find the doors and door posts off a 2 door hardtop, convert your wagon to a 2 door. Add the straight axle, fenderwell headers, instant nostalgia gasser you've been wanting!!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Learning must be difficult for those who already know it all!!!!
