Water Injection kit
Has anyone tried a water injection kit with a blower setup. I'm thinking of getting a system from snow performance. I got a 9.0 engine with 5-6 lbs of boost and I could supposedly double it with a 50-50 water/methanol mix. 12 lbs boost with a 9.0 engine running pump gas. The only water injection kit I've ever been close enough to touch was on a 2-stroke diesel, 6V-71 twin turbo GM Detroit. It was in a 8-wheel drive Bronco II and it worked well. If the reservoir run out, audible detonation could be heard over the motor. If anyone has any experience or in depth knowledge of the water injection system, good or bad, please post. I'm wanting to know does it quench detonation and build the HP the manufactures claim. (about 70-100) Also, is it practical for street use. At a cost of under $300.00, the HP level to cost is pretty decent. Windshield washer fluid is cheap. Thanks in advance.RAY

Edelbrock used to sell a water injection kit, I don't suppose there is much chance of finding one of them around anymore, though. Used it on a pickup once to stop detonation when towning, worked ok.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Don't use windshield washer fluid, it has soap in it.
