    Roller Lifters

Hey guys, I got a question for ya. I have a 5.7 TBI out of a 1989 GM 1500. I dropped it into my Grand Prix, and I now have a set of Vortec heads from a 98 GM. I would like to know, if the roller lifters, pushrods, and spider will bolt onto my 89 block. I would rather have the rollers in my engine.

    -Thanks.

merry christmas. first you have to look at the vally to see if it has the three bosses there for the spider, then you will have to get the left side exhaust man ifold that has the fitting for the egr,(have to run tube) the lifters are ok, the only thing that i found is that you have to check the cam shaft bearing dia, that may or may not be a problem. and you will have to run the voryex intake, the ports are tallerand the gaskets are diff. but i think that it will work. good luck.

Thanks for the reply, I have another question aswell. Is GM the only one with a manifold that adapts a TBI to vortec heads? If so, I dont really want to buy from them as it is $1000 Canadian. Would it be better to go with a different manifold and use a 4 BBL to TBI adaptor plate?

-Thanks again, and have a good Christmas guys.
