I like the big block idea too ,and I have a set of close chamber oval heads.I think I can sell these and with a little more cash buy a set of aluminum rectangal port. You think a stroked big block would be ok?468 maybe.I want something that will really rev. Thanks

use them O ports with some work and go to 4 1/4 stroke or 4 3/8 this will give you a496 or511 at a 0.060 bore and spend the money on a roller cam. that you would on the heads it will rpm but the more rpm is just hard on stuff

I don't mind paying a little more for a better part. What do I need for a block.Theres a few different variations of the big block. What should I stay away from?I need a block asap ,I will be ready to set the placement of the engine in the frame.
