bob i said they work. and i know i have a customers that run them .1 on a548 13 to 1 with 9377 holleys on it roller engine in a sand truck and drive it on weekends on the street dose it work yes is this thing bad ass you bet. would you drive it every day NO. now that is number 1. number 2 is a 55 tub chevy$70.000 truck with a 502 in it they drive this truck a lot . when his kids come home they try to brake it of him?. and i have had some to. i can not talk about any thing i have done with out getting in a pissying contest with some one on here .my stuff never had a dead spot in it and work very good for me and the tunnel ram were all long runners intakes and would idle all day just. fine did they need to be tune in ? yes they did. can it be done yes. would i do it again? you bet,. do they need work to get running yes. but if you think two fours are good for evey day then no one on here would build them or hot rods ?i am sure eveyone has a point of veiw .but all of them thay say it can not work or will not they may have never try it or spent the time to get it right. bob i did say it can be done if he want to try let him but i did say they need work to tune in and you will have to run a loose stall but a tunnel ram will make more hp over one carb. mine ran fine at 2500 rpm just fine do not over cfm the tunnel ram look at the ford truck long ram runners and some of the tpi intake they do look like tunnel rams dont they? yes the carbs will not work as good like the tpi but they will work if you want to spend the time .if not buy one carb and wonder what it would be like to have one. the fuel will pudle in a 2 4 manfold more than in a tunnel ran more runner and plenum will helps the fuel air mix there are some bad tunnel rams intakes that were junk from day one

pat, I guess that means you agree with what I said about you telling him what he wanted to hear. After all, that IS all I said on the matter, other than we both apparently agree it's not for stop and go driving.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

no they may not be the best MPG but it has been done and can be made to idly just fine but they may not be for every one .if the combinations is off cam gear cfms stall .it will not fix it self. so this is a point of view just like a blower cars but they are hot rods that is what it is all about . it will take work

No need to apologize to me, I know I'm an ---hole, but I'm very good at being one! I'll only tell you things I know to be true from my own experience, it may or may not be what you want to hear!!!! As Matt and others pointed out, huge difference between a long runnered tunnel ram and a flat dual four intake. I've had both types on the street and know what it takes to make them and keep them working right.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Do you have any close-up pics of your progressive linkage?
If so, I'd appreciate seeing them.C9

2X4 LINKAGE
GIVE ME A DAY OR SO I'VE GOT THE CARBS SITTING ON THE WORK BENCH, I'LL PUT THE LINkAGE BACK ON IT,AND TAKE SOME PICS. NOT A BUNCH OF COMPLICATED STUFF,BUT IT WORKS.Last edited by DONNIE G; 12-30-2005 at 11:40 AM.

man oh man mother in law just rode in on her broom....
i went and hid in the shop for a while...
will this pic do for now?
you'll notice i covered the reddy rod with surplus wiring loom,
when i built the linkage i did'nt have a powder coater,now that eastwood sent me one maybe i will have to finish the linkage properly!

it opens up a little better than 3\4,which was plenty however if a
fellow wanted it all...go to you're junk carb bin,..everybody has one,pick the proper sized lever & bolt it onto the existing lever
using ssmall self tapping screws
you can make a dummy linkage with scrap plastic till you find the one that works,carbs on an offy intake are a little further apart than most intakes
Thank you Roger. .
