Thumbs down Easy way to put Headers in 67 Ranchero?

I have a 1967 Ranchero with a 390 FE - with A/C. The engine compartment is rather small - does anyone have any advice as to how to put headers on this. Do the heads have to come off? Would this make it any easier?
    Thanks

If I remember right (it was years ago) all you have to do is raise the motor up enough to get the headers to come in from the bottom.

On a similar '67 Fairlane, we had to jack the engine up and remove the motor mounts to get them in. Its a lot easier to put them in the empty engine compartment during a swap, but that's not always an option.
