It's going to be my weekend car, ocassional Drag. Supercharging it really depends on how much I can get out of the 305 without supercharging it. So lets look at it not worrying about supercharger. I know 350 etc etc, but I want to do 305. I like the stigma a 305 has, and If I can make it a performer I think that would be great. Currently its a Automatic also, and I think I'm going to leave it that way.
I was told I should go with a larger carburator like a 750 with no secondaries and manual( for more response) since the heads have a better flow.
So if i'm not going with with a supercharger I probably could go with aluminum heads?
I know the 305 is not going to have a lot of torque, but I still want it to be able to get out of the hole pretty quick. I want the car to be pretty responsive.
Now I was told before I start worring about the engine. I need to decide what I was going to do with transmission. Anyone have a suggestion on what gears I should do etc. I was going to have the 350 Turbo rebuilt.
I was taking a look at this setup also. I was told if I'm under a 9.5:1 ratio go with this setup.
