I think that's going to be a self-answering question as you continue investigating that line of thought and compare the alternatives.Jim

and step down pulley's, and all the other pulleys, and a crank snout, and another intake, and another carb, and boost reg.'s, and spark advances, and.....and....and.....'bout 6 grand when all said and done.
Try another new carb first- figgure cid x max rpm of cam divided by 3456 = cfm to get close. Read up on your carb, find out about idle circuits, step up, and wot, where your vaccum needs to be and it will tell you how to adjust it. If you can't get the vaccum to spec. then what gives you your vaccum to begin with? Start looking there- valve timing, intake sucking air at seal, ect. I forget your other post's - but I do remember reading them, and it seemed that you were givin a lot of advice- enough to make your head swim.
Good Luck , and let me know if I can help......Jim

anytime you got a problem, it is usually bet to resolve that problem before moving on to create a larger problem.
jmo, which usually is not worth the powder needed to blow it to hell!
