restrictor plate?
my friends got a 850 that he wants to make a restrictor plate for. he wants to get the plate to restrict it to a 650-700cfm. how much smaller do the holes in the plate have to be compared to the carb?

Get a carb that's the right size, and leave the restrictor plates to the NASCAR boys. You won't be happy with the end result of a restricted carb.

Then just run it with the 850 for now. I ran 2 X 500 CFM Edelbrocks on my 302 for 7 years, and it was ok. Most he will get is a little carbon build up on the plugs.
