5-speed conversion
i picked up a chevy truck 5 speed (not a T5) a nv2500 or someting like that for my 1956 pontiac...i talked to a bunch or tranny guys and tehy said they hold up well and i was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with them...i just like the overdrive, it'll make the 5 hour drive to the syracuse nations a little nice'r....i cant afford a tremec or richard six speed yet so this will have to do....i got the tranny, clutch and flywheel, master and slave cyclinder with it...

i made the costly mistake of putting a t5 outta a s-10 without knowing that u have to change the input shaft to the camaro type and ended up pushing the crank forward and started it and it brought her to a stop***ouch*** just wanna know if theres anything i'll have to do...i know i'll have to mount the hydrolic master and change the tranny mounting..
