    your heads will not flow very good on this size engine they will fit and that would be it.this sounds about right BUT you will spend alot on the rest of the stuff. what HP rpm and tq are you looking for ? i have built a lot of the big block and bigger i can help you if you want

    Ya sure,Id appreciate any help.I am looking to race in the 10.5 street class.Like I said I would really like to use my heads .Whats the biggest engine dispalcement these heads will support?That is FULLY PORTED for the strip.

    i think any thing over 500 cid and you will want better heads you did not tell me the casting numers on your heads .the gm O ports heads are good for smaller builds BUT the ex port is not to hot. a set of 990 gm rect ports would work better there are may heads out there but the time you do your heads it would be better with a set the flow more . my old 572 i had to make headers for it and you would with you truck i think 2.1/4 to 2.3/8 tube is what you want , the prices on this stuff sounds in line

    Ya you are right about the heads .A guy I know said he has a set of rectangle ports for 800 dollars that will bolt on nicely to the big M block.How many cubic inches you running in the olds?I am starting to think I need to bring my sights down some,hell I still want to drive it down the street on a nice day.

    in my50 chevy 548 blown in my gto 630+i have no olds?and i do drive them on nice days eveyone knows when i am coming ii have had some wild big block on the street if i have to say so my self and they all were driven on the street

    How much horse power do you think I can make with the 540,and some GM casting rect. port?No nitrous

    had a 548 14.8 to1 lunati cam 748 748 on 108 lsa i think it was a round 279 at .050 1150 9377 holley on a re work team g intake with 990 heads that i re work put 2.250 intakes valves. 2.1/4 headers to 4inch ex with a x cross i drived this on the street in my gto IT ran very good .that engine had to make 750to800 hp easy
