Carb to fuelie
Well it took me a month and a half to put my new engine in my '85 Trans am and get all the little tweaks and stuff done so its running smooth. Almost broken in now. The 350 I put in is STRONG and I love it lol. But I hate the slow response, delays ect.. of the Carburator.
Now that I have total reliable transportation I can start worrying about upgrades. Reason I didn't do the fuelie before is because I needed a car and NOW lol.
I don't have any money right now but I've got a part time job and a couple side jobs so I can save up, buy the parts I need, and do a week-end (hopefully) project swapping it over in a couple months.
What I'm looking for is some suggestions on an efficient way to do the swap, what parts I might need (I know I will need a manifold and computer/harness... lol and definantly other things?)
So here are the specs. Chevy 350 engine in my '85 trans am. Carburated with an electric quadrajet (stock). The gas tank has a return line, and an anti-siphon device. Tranny is 700R (3 speed auto with overdrive for 4th gear)
Thanks for any advice and imput I should be doing this in a couple of months If I can save up what i need to. (I'm guessing somewhere between $1,000-2,000 dollars.)
