How much money do you have to spend? Be real.
What do you intend to do with the car? Street-driven only? Strip/street?
Do you have to pass emissions where you live?
Do you have a place to work on the car?
Do you have tools to work on the car?
Do you have knowledge of how to work on the car or have friends who know how and will help you?
Is this your only mode of transportation?
Do you have alternate means of transportation while the Dart is down for modifications?
Do you have the time to work on this car?PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Take a look at a thread that's titled "225 Slant Six" by Joker51. I think its in the Mopar Small Block forum. You might change your mind about installing a V8.
Also, soak up everything Richard (techinspector 1) tells you. That man's so knowledgeable in so many aspects of this sport it is scary!

If you've got a 318, a 340 or 360 is a bolt-in.

sort of...
It can be done, but you'll have to do some modifications to the engine compartment to make it work. I can send you a link to a guy who did this recently if you want.
