well the best we can do is 900 in park and 500 in gear ,,, it drops that much that with the pcv hooked up to the bottom of breather base and the trannt hooked to the manifold and the break booster to the carb base ,,, we might have a bad booster or something going on in the tranny,,,, got me back to the drawing board

how does she idle at 500 rough or smooth? how does it drive, does it seem like its holding back when you gas it or does it stumble, or does it just get up and go?

hey guys after running the car a while we still ahve a peck that comes and goes we was just wounder if the springs would have anythiing to do that the cam calls for 90 lb and the stock 70 lb. 40 years ago could that be it and we got the idel ok i think it drops 300 to 350 rmps from park to drive what do you think about the springs ??

are you running 70lb springs on a cam that requires 90lbs? if so you could be having a problem with the valves closing too slow, and because of the cam grind, you're having a little bit of valve overlap or even maybe floating your valves

would that cause the peck,,, i ask the guy that did the rebuild and he said the springs should be ok and that if we had bad springs it would cause a mis in the motor i reall can't tell there is a mis is runs too good man it is a mistery why all a suden it's starting to peck like this .. i drove the car the other day and when you stop at a light and take off you couls here the pecking and maybe the next time you stop you didn't ,,, so i think we are going to add a oil pressure guage( don't know were yet ) to see what we got there .. he said we need at least 20 lb so we will know that much

if you're looking for adding gauges to your car www.jmcmoptorsports.com carries a really nice gauge cluster for our year mustangs, fits and looks like the original cluster, but has boost/vac gauge, oil pressure, charge, tach, speedo, and temp.... the only downside is it clears your odometer.... but there might be a way to set the odometer on it.... i'm not sure... haven't bought mine yet

its possible for weak springs to cause a small "peck" at higher RPMs.... but also what octane fuel are you using?
