valve tuliped
Hi everyone:
How is everyone?
I been here before with this problem. It has resurvaced again. My boat is running crappy again, same engine as before. I had the head worked. The mechanic said it had sucked a valve up into the head. I only did the one head, probally a mistake.
But I got a question. They fixed the valves that had a problem but could this happen in a different cylinder on the same head??
Thanks for your help.

Hello Denny:
Thanks for the reply. I have been at my wits end with this engine. I used the boat 3 times this year for a short time. It ran pretty good. Took it out this past weekend and I could tell as soon as I started it and put it in gear something was not right. It ran lousy, would not turn 3000 rpm's.
You memtions spring, is this something the shop would have checked?
Would be nice to know what causes something like this to happen. I understand that this happens alot in the 5.7 chevy engine. If I fix it again what's to keep it from doing it again?
I always like the gm for boat engines but but!!
I don't understand how this happens when it's not being used.
Enought said.
Any suggestions anyone has I sure would appreciate.
thanks
