never throw anything away
If you guys have ever thought of throwing away and old crank and stuff that has been sitting around in the corner sense the 70's dont. We just put a circle track motor together with absolutly nothing. The crank was one that we took out of a lobster boat, it was a little dinged up. So my father took a flat file and emry cloth to it and kinda sorta straightened it out. We got it all together, with most of the metal chunks out of the base (previous motor grenading remnants) We couldn't decide whether it was hydrolic or solid lifter cam, there was a lot of head scratching so we set them 18-19. That motor has lasted all of one season and prob 2, and has gotten that person to first place in points. Most people at the track thinks its an illegal motor. But. It puffed 9-1 compression. So save all the parts you have, treasure or trashI am a man, And I can change, If I have to, I guess

Got to say your right. I knew better but I cleaned out a semi trailer I have full of parts. Good parts all went to the scrap yard. Shortly there after I got another car to build. Don't know what "I" was thinking . How many times I've had to make trips to the salvage yard for stuff I tossed.Charlie
Lovin' what I do and doing what I love
Some guys can fix broken NO ONE can fix STUPID

depends on what kind of equipment it is.... i sold a buncha 2bbl manifolds, 2bbl carbs, valve covers, oil pans, and a few distributors for $50 the other day on craigslist cause its all junk i'd replace with aftermarket anyways, and it was in my garage..... but i wouldn't toss things like heads, cranks, blocks, that kinda stuff is worth keeping aroundjust because your car is faster, doesn't mean i cant outdrive you... give me a curvy mountain road and i'll beat you any day
Thank you Roger. .
